The brief given to Bliss Joinery was that the joinery supplied had to provide the home with unimpeded access to the outdoors and address all traditional and contemporary design requirements.
 
The large pivot door opens to a foyer that offers space and fluidity of movement. The living area becomes the focal point, with a picture window that frames the outdoor tropical garden. Walls disappear with the opening of high timber joinery bi-fold and sliding doors. The exclusion of corner wall sections continues the open flow of the room to the deck areas.

Being able to create a successful contemporary addition to a traditional home takes a high degree of planning and attention to detail. The owner/builder of this Ascot property did so with a great deal of empathy for the homes era creating a modern, high-quality home that blends perfectly with its environment.
